A rusty motorbike

In November 2019 an original, rusty Triumph Thruxton was brought to our barn for a makeover. It was obvious that a lot of work needed to be done!

First upgrades

We started with new stainless steel spokes and black powdercoated wheels with new Metzler classic tyres, to continue with painting the engine covers in glossy black. Ergonomic TRW clip-ons and new grips for smooth curving does the job well. A new cognac leather on the original seat was pulled on. The Spark exhausts let the Triumph sound really deep, and a tuned ecu gives the bike 20%more torque!

John Player

A mat/glossy paint with golden decals gives that John Player look that we all like. By lowering the oem dashboard it comes in a better line with the fueltank and headlight. Bullet aluminium Motone indicators are our favorite because they’re good and strong!

Start your engine

A first ride with this Thruxton will feel like coming home, but in style. The 10% wider clip -ons give a good comfortable riding position. Once the 360° engine fires up, the Spark exhausts let you know you got some horsepower down there! 1st gear, 2nd, 3rd, the torque is always available. The deep engine sound makes people turn their heads, and see the stylish Triumph. Once you arrive at your local pub or place, people are getting closer to have a look at the beauty and style of this black beauty.

As usual, we at Barnbuiltbikes built our custom bikes within legal terms. We only use CE, TUV or ABE approved parts, or stay within the legal specifications.
